Dreaming the Unseen: The Art of Regenerative Futurism
This week I embarked upon a 30-day book challenge to explore a symbiotic future where human and earth systems come into harmony on the other side of climate change, biodiversity collapse and AI misalignment.
I’ve been sharing a bit of my process along the way on X, LinkedIN, and Youtube chronicling insights as I read through a wide range of literature from Indigenous Futurism to planetary governance theories and from transhumanism to animistic leadership.
My hope is to spark a field of collective imagination where artists, musicians, authors and creators of all kinds can begin dreaming of a future beyond the complex web of crises we face.

Quote of the week 🗣️
Summary
This week, we tune into the Symbiocene by exploring the concept of Bioregional Financing Facilities (BFFs) with Samantha Power and Matthew Monahan, diving into their potential to revolutionize our economy towards a more regenerative future. Additionally, we spotlight the book "Restoring the Kinship Worldview," touch on Trevor Noah's experience with Ketamine-assisted therapy, and explore hope-filled visions of the future. We also celebrate Claudia Sheinbaum's historic election as Mexico's first female climate scientist president, emphasizing the need for more female leaders in the regenerative age.

Book of The Week: Restoring the Kinship Worldview
Indigenous communities have proven for thousands of years that they can cultivate human societies in harmony with nature. This book by Four Arrows and Darcia Narvaez is a compilation of 28 excerpts from indigenous teachers along with a short dialogue between the authors. It is a fantastic introduction to the ‘kinship worldview’ that sees humans as a part of nature and understands our selves as an intricate web of relationship between ancestors, land and more-than-human beings.
Breaking The Cycle - Reclaiming Our Humanity
For millennia, we thrived by living together, gathering food, singing, and dancing in harmony. Survival depended on community, not rugged individualism. Today, our culture promotes toughness over tenderness, and isolation instead of togetherness—even for babies. This short six minute film is a wonderful invitation to return to our original nest in communities of care where we nurture cooperative companionship and work toward shared goals.
Trevor Noah on Depression, ADHD & Ketamine Therapy
Everyone’s fine. All the time. No one is distracted. Or depressed. Or anxious.
If you are, just doom scroll your way to freedom. Right?
In this episode Trevor Noah opens up on his personal journey with depression, diagnosis with ADHD and experience with ketamine therapy.
Existential Hope Worldbuilding
Explore the worlds created in Exitential Hope’s 8-week worldbuilding program, showcasing innovative and positive visions of a world with advanced AI in 2045 designed to inspire a hopeful future. While I don’t resonate with the underlying worldview of much of these visions, I think the exercise itself is meaningful and worthwhile.
TTI Nature Startups List
The nature startup scene has grown exponentially in the last years, so much so, it’s hard to track… Our friends at Top Tier Impact have published their annual Nature Startups List with a comprehensive directory of 212 nature startups active in biodiversity and regeneration to help you stay on top of who is who.
Mexico elects a female climate scientist 👩🔬
In a historic move, Mexico has elected Claudia Sheinbaum, a climate scientist, as its first female president. Her green agenda, which includes a $14 billion investment in clean energy, faces challenges due to her close ties with pro-fossil fuel predecessor AMLO and skepticism about her past climate actions. Sheinbaum's presidency offers a unique chance to advance Mexico's climate policies, but significant political hurdles remain. We need to support more female leaders in the regenerative age by advocating for policies that empower women in science and politics to lead on climate action.
