Scrubbing toilets, washing dishes, flipping pancakes. It’s all gotten a bit much. Plus, we’re lonely, so a robotic human by our side seems like the technology everyone needs, right? 🤦🏼♂️

Picture this: a world where endangered dolphins, elephants, and even fruit bats (or pet cats) have digital wallets and start demanding their fair share of the economy. Jonathan Ledgard’s wild idea of “Interspecies Money” isn’t just another crypto trend; it’s a way for non-human species to get in on the financial action. Because, let’s face it, we’re doing such a bang-up job with climate change that the animals probably need to step in and take the reins.
Seriously though, this is one of the craziest ideas I have ever heard, and I dig it.
My friend johnx25bd at Toucan first told me about it on stage at Celo Connect in 2022. I stumbled upon Jonathan’s work again and had to dive back in. It’s a truly mind expanding concept of a monetary system that leverages AI to create an ecology of money that honors each species significance in the web of life and constructs monetary system that allows value to flow between each living being. Pretty wild.

My good friend Meg Pagani is running an amazing 10-week course for leaders looking to understand power paradigms in an intimate group setting. Meg is a powerful leader herself, serial TedX keynote speaker and student of the medicine under Benki Piyako in the Amazon. I worked with her last year on a 1-1 basis and am so grateful she’s now running an online course teaching what she has learned in her multi-decade impact career working with founders, family offices and indigenous communities.
